10 p.m. Central European Time. Romana Stefkova is coming home to her village in Slovakia. For the past three weeks, she took care of a bedridden senior citizen in Austria - around the clock, seven days a week. Now she has three weeks off and spends this time at home, with her boyfriend, her grandmother and with her childhood friends. Among the Sámi in Lapland and elsewhere in Finland, everyone looks forward to the celebration of Midsummer Night. Already now, the nights are white, and there is no real darkness any more. Loviisa and her friend Raquel cycle from Helsinki to a summer house. They want to enjoy the white night, take to their boat and push away from the shore. And even in places where the sun sets in midsummer, night turns into day in clubs. Not only in Berlin.
